The Must-Have Emergency Bag (Part 2)
/Hi friends!
Last time on the blog, we gave you an overview of our floral-specific emergency bags that we like to bring to all of our events. If you haven't seen that post yet, you'll want to check it out here. This time, we're going to get more specific and tell you EXACTLY what we bring in both our floral bags, and our planning bags, that keeps us and our clients cool, calm, and collected during the big event.
As you all know, preparation for event and floral designers is KEY. You simply cannot run a successful event without it. I've learned over the years that a big part of preparation is thinking ahead about what could happen and making sure you're ready for it. That's where these must-have emergency bags come in.
We never know what's going to come up on the day of the event, so having all of these things in our arsenal helps us stay calm and totally prepared for anything that comes our way.
Now here's what you've all been waiting for - the complete list of what we put in our Floral and our Planning emergency bags.

Lastly, I wanted to share another set of "tools" our whole team uses on event days that have also been game-changers... they are called busy-belts. They are essentially a cross between an apron pocket and a deep fanny pack, but they are able to hold all the important things - clips, phones, zip ties, trash, pens, etc. We even had ours embroidered! You can find ones just like ours (they even have patterned ones) here.
For this season, we decided to get a bit of a fancier version, especially for our planning clients in order to match our sleek black day-of cocktail dresses. We are currently loving the black belt bags from Mark & Graham - we plan to get them monogrammed so each staff member knows which one is hers - find them here.
What do you think? Which bag is your favorite, or which do you think would work best for you and your team? I'd love to hear what you think!
We know this can be a lot to remember, so we've created something to make your life way easier. We've created checklists in a downloadable and printable PDF for both of these lists. That way, you'll be totally covered for your next big event!
P.S. - if you're already subscribed to our newsletter, check your inbox. You've already got these. :)
Thanks for reading, friends. I hope these emergency bags help you the way they've helped me and my team!
